According to legend, the Three Tang Medicine Buddhas:
Disaster-Dispelling Medicine Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Mahamayuri Vidyaraja.
In the past two or three years, the auspicious conditions have come together for great achievements;

The “Mahāprabhā Vīrya Auspicious Calamity-Eliminating Dhāraṇī Sūtra” says: “Those who receive, uphold, read, and recite this dhāraṇī can achieve eighty thousand kinds of auspicious matters and eliminate eighty thousand kinds of inauspicious matters.”
From the above scripture, we can clearly understand the great power of this mantra.
A brief summary of the disasters that this mantra eliminates is as follows:
- Celestial disasters, affecting countries and families, instability at the borders, and rising calamities.
- Karmic enemies from past lives wishing to harm us.
- Various evil and unexpected incidents, slander, curses, and talismans causing misfortune.
Mantra meaning: Homage to all Buddhas, the unsurpassed teachings of the Dharma
Now recite the mantra: Refuge in the Void, the Void
Accomplish the blazing and supremely blazing
Let all stars shatter
Calamities subside, auspiciousness and perfection arise
Wishes of the Seven Medicine Buddhas: “The Sutra of the Fundamental Vows and Merits of the Seven Medicine Buddhas”
All suffering and illnesses are dispelled, all wishes fulfilled up to enlightenment.
Protection for the nation and relief from calamities; “Due to the original vows of the Tathāgata, their nation will be at peace. The wind and rain will be timely, crops will ripen, all beings will be free from illness and joyful. In their country, there will be no evil yakshas or gods causing harm. All evil omens will vanish. The rulers and all beings will enjoy increased longevity, strength, health, and freedom.”
“Mahāmāyūrī Vidyārājñī Sūtra”
Before the end of each scroll, there are eight verses, which are the dedication of merit:
“May devas, asuras, yakshas, and others come with sincere hearts to listen to the Dharma.
Protect the Buddha-dharma so it may endure, each diligently practicing the teachings of the World-Honored One.
Whether listeners arrive here, on earth or in the sky,
May they always nurture loving-kindness among people, abiding in the Dharma day and night.
May all worlds always be at peace, boundless merit and wisdom benefit all beings.
May all karmic offenses be eliminated, far from suffering and attaining Nirvana.
Always anoint the body with the fragrance of morality, wear the garment of concentration to support oneself.
May the wondrous flower of enlightenment adorn everywhere, and may peace and happiness always be found wherever one resides.”
The Lotus Treasury World, multiple images, multiple universes, like dew, like lightning, like dreams and illusions!
Holy and beautiful dedication of merit: May all who see this be auspicious.
May all disasters be averted, may all illnesses disappear; may you have no obstacles, enjoy happiness and longevity! (Three times)
May all auspiciousness come, may all devas protect you; by the power of all Buddhas, may you always be safe!
May all auspiciousness come, may all devas protect you; by the power of all Dharma, may you always be safe!
May all auspiciousness come, may all devas protect you; by the power of all Sangha, may you always be safe!
Stars, akashas, spirits, obstacles of disaster stars;
By the power of the protective scriptures, may all disasters be dispelled! (Three times)
May all beings in pain be free from suffering, may all beings in fear be fearless, may all who are sad be free from sorrow.
By the power of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the power of all Pratyekabuddhas and Arhats, may all be protected.
Those who dwell in the sky and on earth, mighty devas and nagas, rejoice in merit and always protect Buddhism.
Those who dwell in the sky and on earth, mighty devas and nagas, rejoice in merit and always safeguard the propagation of the Dharma.
Heavenly and earthly disciples, protect myself and others,
May all deities rejoice in the merit we have accumulated up to now,
May all achieve accomplishment. (Three times)
May my relatives and loved ones, kin and friends,
May they have peace of body and mind, and be free from danger.
May all pure and good wishes be quickly fulfilled!
