This is the Stone Garden (Cape Studio) located in Yanliao Village, Hualien. It is located next to the Pacific Ocean, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful and magnificent sea view.
There are many art creation courses planned in the studio such as wood creation and moss ball DIY, which are very suitable for small groups of friends or families to engage in interesting creative activities together.

Stone Studio has been here for more than ten years. The studio has the functions of creation, research and teaching. Brother Huang is a driftwood artist. He came here in the early days to study pottery from the East Coast, because wood was needed to burn kilns. When he went to the beach to pick up driftwood, he suddenly discovered that these seemingly inconspicuous pieces of wood actually exuded charming charm. The fragrance made him unable to put it down. So, I entered the world of log creation.

What you can see here are his creative works of art. Friends who are interested in wood creation can also make an appointment for a wood-making experience and create their own unique and wonderful works with the master.

Facing the Pacific Ocean, it is quietly located in Hualien Yanliao! This unrestrained and free studio is a studio without doors and doorbells, full of natural atmosphere. As soon as you step into the studio, you can see many flowers and plants, which are all natural DIY materials from Haijiao Studio. The barking of the dogs was quite loud, and I was scared at first. Unexpectedly, the cute dogs I saw among them were all very coquettish. Many of them felt that they were adopted from work, and some had injured feet. In fact, they If you are a little timid, you can play and DIY with them if you don’t come here. The air is filled with the aroma of cypress. Haijiao Studio itself started with wood and wood products. Later, it started to make stone because of its research. In combination, in addition to this moss ball plant DIY, there is also stone cutting DIY and so on.

Haijiao Studio combines creation, research and teaching. The owner is an artist himself and comes from the valley of Taiyuan.
In the early days, Haijiao Studio came to Yanliao to study East Coast pottery because wood was needed to burn kilns. When we went to the beach to pick up driftwood, we were surprised to find that these seemingly inconspicuous pieces of wood actually emitted a charming fragrance. It’s addictive.
Having just entered the world of log creation, and studying stone cutting, it also gave Haijiao Studio the name “Stone Garden”.
. Wood: comes from seaside driftwood, stone: comes from seaside hard sandstone; the most local elements are used, which are materials created by the studio. Simple workmanship is exquisitely polished, and no chemical paint is used to preserve the original essence of the logs. Wooden stone orchids are the eyes of the soul in the space. The three kinds of devices are scattered and matched to make this space appear natural and ordinary. The long table under the big tent is a wooden desk and dining table, and is also a place to receive guests and friends. Drink freshly brewed drinks on site. Coffee or a cup of tea brewed from the large-leaf Terminalia leaves that are everywhere are quite pleasant.
