For homeless people, bathing centers have very important basic needs.
In addition, there are currently many groups serving meals here at Taipei Station. Once the frequency is too high and a large number of meals are served, it may cause social dependence. However, employment guidance for the homeless to become independent and establish [Chang’an Yuyu Homeless Washing House] The provision of “Mu Center” is like giving someone a fish, rather than teaching him how to fish.
The homeless really want to change their current situation, but they have been unable to find the opportunity. The Ark Association has heard the voices of the homeless!
So the “Chang’an Bathhouse Homeless Bathing Center” was established to give the homeless a place to take a bath. Their wish is to take a bath and take a comfortable bath.
In addition to taking care of your own image and taking care of your physical needs,
What homeless people long for is a place to take a bath and take care of themselves, keep their bodies clean and healthy, and improve their personal image and hygiene through bathing.
Increase their self-esteem and social participation.
We all hope to have a pure and refreshing body and soul,
Daily bathing and changing clothes is a normal thing for most people,
But for the homeless and other socially disadvantaged groups,
Basic bathing is also a luxury.
It is urgent to provide the homeless with a space where they can relax and maintain hygiene,

The association assists the homeless before they find employment. In addition to preparing clothes for the homeless, it also finds that the need for bathing centers is very important.
A proposal was made to the Social Affairs Bureau, but although they agreed, there was no substantial subsidy.

Currently, there are three service staff to provide the homeless with their human needs of bathing, so that they can face the challenges of the future together with full energy,
Currently [Chang’an Bath Apartment] serves about 10 people a day, and the operation and management here also requires 3 volunteers every day.
In addition to bathing, Ark Association also provides various programs such as “job development program” and “psychological counseling”.
In terms of the SDGs sustainable development goals, we hope that this plan will eliminate the following problems:
1. Eliminate poverty: Homeless people are often in poverty. Helping homeless people find employment or develop their own abilities can help reduce poverty.
2. No hunger: Provide food to the homeless every week to reduce the problem of hunger.
3. Good health and well-being: The bathing center provides bathroom facilities so that the homeless have a place to take care of themselves, thereby reducing the incidence of diseases and improving personal hygiene and health.
4. Promote sustainable industries, innovation and infrastructure: Providing job training for the homeless can help them learn new skills and help increase their employment opportunities, thereby promoting sustainable industries.
5. Reduce inequality: Providing basic necessities and employment opportunities for homeless people can reduce the gap between rich and poor and inequality.
6. Sustainable cities and communities: The purpose of establishing toilet centers is to promote personal hygiene, reduce the number of homeless people wandering around, and enable them to integrate with society. This not only improves the level of communities and cities, but also Make society stable.
7. Responsible consumption and production: This toiletry center can promote responsibility by recycling water and reducing wasteany consumption and production.
