The Taoist priest himself is from Nantou. Before joining Taoism, he worked in the financial industry in Taipei and worked for a financial holding company for more than 20 years. While working, he took care of his sick mother. After his mother passed away, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to the religious field.
Because of his reverence for religion and love for Chinese culture, he started a relationship with Quanzhen. Qiu Chuji in Jin Yong’s novels, the simplicity of Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan, and the mystery of the golden summit of Wudang Mountain deeply attracted the Taoist priest to explore Taoism. In the Dingxi year (106), during a preaching activity, he formed a close bond with the Quanzhen sect, met his mentor Su Taoist priest, and finally embarked on the Quanzhen road of Longmen. By fate, he officially established his official position in Heming Mountain. Take refuge and enter the Tao according to the special holy rituals. Quanzhen Religion:
The Patriarch Wang Chongyang of the Song Dynasty founded the Quanzhen Sect, which advocated the integration of the three religions (Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism), and Quanzhen disciples must become a monk, be a vegetarian, and remain unmarried. Quanzhen Patriarch passed down a hundred-character genealogy. All disciples who converted to Xuan Yi must pass on the Taoist number according to the genealogy. Quanzhen Taoist priests must have three names: surname, hair, and life. In the Jin Dynasty, Quanzhen sect became even more prosperous due to the story of Qiu Chuji who persuaded Genghis Khan. Patriarch Wang Changyue of the Qing Dynasty gave sermons at Baiyun Temple, which revived the decadent Taoism and gave people a sense of detachment in Taoism.
The Taoist priest’s daily duties include chanting sutras, repenting, learning Taoist rituals, performing scientific rituals, praying for blessings, and solving problems for some believers. In the daily life of Zangzhi Palace, the Taoist priest is very busy at work.
